YAY!!!!!! Snow Maker is finally here!!!! He followed us all the way home from Nashville - occasionally we'd leave him behind but he would always catch up. There have been some huge flakes falling and at times, it seemed as if we were in a near - blizzard. It's wonderful!!! I got my birthday present 2 days early!!!
I don't know what it is about snow that brings out the little kid in me. I can't even wait for enough to fall on the ground before I'm out there running around and dancing in it. Even tonight, when we stopped at the post office, I had to restrain myself from just letting loose with a little dance and a hearty "Yahoo!!!!"
Many people see snow as a peaceful thing - quietly falling to the ground, covering all of Nature's children as a blanket, protecting their sleep until time to wake up in the spring. Not me - I'm usually the first one out in it at 5 in the morning, building snow people; throwing snowballs for the cats to chase, revelling in the pure joy I perceive all around me. If I could (well - I know I could...I just haven't tried), I would meld with the snow and go on a freefall through the sky and land harmlessly below. Yes, that would be heaven.
Illness report: C.M. went back to the doctor today. He saw a different doctor who told him that judging by all the tests that have been done and lack of 'stuff' showing up in them, he probably had contracted a virus through food poisoning and it is still with him - even after 6 months. So he is back on some of the original medication plus a few extras - which immediately made him even sicker once he took them. Sheesh, he can't seem to win with this thing...
The cats are pretty happy now - and I almost envy them. They are snug in their straw and they have a little heater down there with them. When I crawled under there to put the heater in, I noticed that it was noticably warmer in there than it was outside...and here I was worried that they were going to freeze horribly to death. The straw smells so good and brings back so many good memories, I thought about crawling in there with them...lol.
I think that I'm going to stop now - it's late and it's cold in here, despite the heat being on. I'll write more tomorrow...when it's warmer...Good night, Sweetie.
