I've decided that I want to take charge of something else ~ I want to control my OBEs. I found a website full of info (look up addy.) and began trying today.
Here's what I did:
I began by laying down and getting comfortable. Beginning with my toes, I systematically went trough each part of my body, visualizing that the stress and tension there was draining out and continuing up through calves, knees, thighs, etc. When I got to my shoulders, I switched to my fingers and continuing the process. Then, I just allowed myself to relax.
It almost worked! I felt myself drifting off several times and when I was about to lift out of my body ~ bam! Back I came. Somehow I managed not to just jerk myself out of the relaxed state and just told myself, "Just relax. Try again." It happened about 4 times total before I decided that it was a pretty good first effort.
Still, the benefits are great ~ it's been a long while that I've been so relaxed and 'loose'.
