Today has definitely been better than yesterday ~ haven't done crap, but it's better...

Kind of proves the point of yesterday's entry, huh?

Well, I guess it's not totally true that I haven't done anything today ~ I did put all those papers in my Box of Shadows. After all, I've only been meaning to do that all damn summer, fall and winter. Of the papers that were in this one particular spot (meaning in clear view of the tv, so's not to miss any commercials), I had a stack about 5 inches high. I shudder to think how much I have upstairs to add to the thing. I just keep adding to that pile.

That's not including the stuff on journaling, terminator seed technology and 'miscellaneous'. Sheesh ~ I didn't realize that I was such a pack rat! I even found a story by Neil Gaiman that I forgot about having, called Snow, Glass, Apples.

Another thing I found were the reference photos I took of that old red half ton truck sitting at the edge of a field, with the trees and river cane growing up through and around it. It will make a great piece ~ color pencil, I think. I found them in the BOS stack, of all places.

I thought about working on a piece while the game was on but that idea got shot down rather quickly. I know how I am when I finally get into the groove of a piece and an atomic bomb woulnd't have been noticed, let alone a few commercials. Besides, the pace they had set up with said commercials wasn't very conducive to finding that groove. I did, however, manage to get a bracelet strung. It is a simple one, seed beads on memory wire, but it did let me see how it would look and whether it could be a lower end piece to sell in a booth. I think it needs work ~ seed beads alone look better on a single string, in my opinion. My thought is to have some single strand bracelets to sell, perhaps to the kiddies ~ and maybe Mom will stay to look too.

Is that too cheeky?

One thing's for sure ~ it's time to get those jewelry pliars (whatever they're rightfully called...)

AS LONG AS I HAVE LEGS
I WILL RUN WITH THE SQUIRRELS

Well, this year's superbowl has come and gone. I'm not sure who won ~ I think it was the Ravens but like I said, I'm not sure. I never watch it for the football anyway. I'm one of the crazy ones who watch it for the commercials. Evidently, the people who organize the game know this because the longest commerical free stretch was during the half time show ~ a whole ten minutes. Other than that, there were commercials every 2 to 4 minutes.

I was in heaven.

There was a lot more variety in this year's commercials. Not one repeat, that I could see. It's hard to decide which ones are my favorite. Here is a list of the top ten, in no particular order (well, after EDS, anyway):

My favorites during the pre ~ game show were:

During Survivor II (So far, this show has none of the promise that the first one had.):
