A story just came over the radio about a town in Lousiana where thousands of black birds are mysteriously dying a slow, torturous death. They drop out of the sky and stagger into the road and people's yards along a five mile stretch (sorry, don't know where) It's so sad...and unfortunately, all too common lately. Another story tells of a black, tar like substance washing up onto two popular tourist beaches in Puerto Rico - officials are telling everyone to avoid contact with it at all cost but don't know what it is.
