Something a little different today - three dream descriptions
1st Dream-
I am in a bed in a huge room. The floors are composed of that old-timey, narrow slatted wood. The ceiling is white and I can't remember what the walls looked like - only that the colors on them optically ran together to have a graying effect. There is an old friend from high school here - she is in the other bed. Strange things begin happening. My friend complains that it feels like someone is touching her but no one is there. Soon, it begins happening to me but I try to ignore it and go to sleep anyway. I turn off my walkman and lay it on the floor beside the bed - the chinese lantern (it's red and ivory white but I can't remember the pattern) over the bed begins to swing of its own violition and the walkman hops itself back up onto the bed.
I jump out of bed and start trying to remember all those dusty, unused methods of psychic protection that I learned at one point or another. I begin to enclose the room in a bubble of blue light but nothing happens. It doesn't work this time. Nothing does. This unsettles me more than 'the ghost' does. I begin talking to 'the ghost' and tell it to settle and be quiet. It gets worse. Doors begin to open and close by themselves; the lantern swings about madly, rapping begins on the walls...soon there is a little girl sitting on the floor in the left front corner (being determined by the entrance door of the room being 'front right') demanding her money. I ask her about it and she tells me that it was in the attic of the old house that used to stand on the property. I tell her that it may not be here anymore since the house is rebuilt but she is more than welcome to look for herself.
The white ceiling disappears and thin, exposed beams (perhaps 1"x 1") with 1"x6" boards covering them appear. The girl crawls all over them with impunity and finds a dusty white linen bag which she claims is her money. She is suddenly sitting back in her corner, hugging the bag with a big smile on her face. All the poltergeist-like activity stops immediately. |
