Ah...now it begins to set in. Get going really well on the journalizing thing, crack a few fossilized thoughts and 'stuff' and...bam! Resistance comes riding in, several brigades strong. I'm not letting it get a hold on me now - I will not be paralyzed and frozen.
The resistance shows itself even now as I write. It's those awful little thoughts that say, 'Gods, who'd want to read about my boring life?" It comes riding in and I'm learning to have my bow at the ready. I can say now, as the Araphaho used to say, "Enemy, I come to take your good white horse." In other words, I count coup on you, resistance, and leave you to walk home to boot.
I've finished the blue painting and I am not happy with it at all. It took perhaps an hour all told. I suppose I'm not happy with it because it is too simple. We humans have a belief that in order for something to be good, it must be complicated as all get-out. Simplicity is met with disbelief and skepticism. Then again, it could be that blue is such a feminine color and I'm about as fem as a rock. lol.
My buddy has come back several days in a row now. I have a male cardinal who visits my bird feeder outside the bedroom window. (Oh sheesh, I slipped into 'Old Southern' - I originally typed 'winder'. Pronounce it 'WHEN - der'.) I swear he keeps looking into the window to see if I'm drumming - he accompanied me the other day. It went something like this: boom boom ba boom chirp! boom ba boom chirp! Boom boom ba chirp! I like having him around - he's a good partner.
Flora notes: I found Valerian and Rue yesterday. I bought them both and set them out in the back yard. I have had absolutely no luck with Valerian seeds and I want to raise my own - I get tired of getting embarrassed in Sunshine Grocery when I buy it. (If you've ever smelled it, you'd understand. Think of several pairs of very dirty, sweaty socks that have been stuffed into a plastic bag for a couple of days.) Kitt was very happy about this new find - he is a Valerian junkie.
New addition to Firewolf's Declaration: "A little rebellion now and then is a good thing." - Thomas Jefferson. yeah.
I'm outta here - I'm going to get reacqainted with the world of Faerie.
