NATURE OF DREAMS

I've just woke up after sleeping for just over 2 hours - I dreamed something about fog. Thick, thick fog. I was here, at this present house and this thick fog came rolling up from the eastern side of the property and I jumped into a truck that was in the driveway. It was so thick, it was like being wrapped in a blanket...or a tortilla, whichever is thicker. I wonder what would have happened if I had stayed out in it?

I wonder what dreams are? Are they merely figments of our imaginations trying to sort out the events of the day - or are they glimpses of other realities, other dimensions? Could we actually be capable of walking around and actively participating in another realm?

If that's true - what about the inhabitants of those realms? Could they be contacted and conversed with on a regular basis? Would a person want to? The answer to that last one, in my case anyway, is obvious - oh yeah!

What if it's the other way around - that this everyday realm we see, live and move about in is the dream...and the other we see at night is actually the 'real' thing? You know, various cultures around the world say that this realm isn't all it seems and that we aren't all that we seem to be - they say that we are actually these mighty, mighty spiritual creatures but because of the density of this physical form that we have chosen to wear, there is no way the totality of our spirits can 'fit' into it. As we come down to bond with the physical form (whenever that is - at conception, at some point during gestation, at birth...or a bit of all three), we forget who and what we actually are because of it. They say that we are always in contact with the 'rest' of our spirit but we can't always hear or make out what it is trying to say - it's like trying to converse under water.
