Today is the day ~ I'm getting ready to take the 2nd test in Correllian Wicca. So far, so good ~ I passed the first test with flying colors! 100%!
Lesson 2 deals with the concepts of Deity and creation. I started this lessons to see how people on the 'other side of the fence' (i.e., those in a tradition) do things and they aren't so different after all, at least it not in this tradition. So far ~ it's been all review, although they did give a good explanation of what 'monad' means. When I was taking classes at Sound Health Alternatives, that word was thrown around a lot but I could never get anyone to give me a good, clear definition of it. Mostly, I got that it was 'a soul group that you belong to.' What the heck does that mean? lol
Since I brought it up, here is one definition of 'monad', courtesy of Rev. Don Lewis and the Daily Spell Study Group:
"The term Monad comes from the Greek Monas, meaning single unit. The Monad is the portion of the Soul which is perfect in itself, just as it was when the Goddess divided it off from Herself. The Monad is the Divine Spark of Life which animates the being, and which is conscious of itself as a portion of Deity. The Monad is a separate portion of the Goddess, but is essentially the same intelligence with no differentiation. The Monad is individuated but not differentiated from the Goddess, and contains all of the attributes and qualities of the Divine while at the same time being separate unto itself. The Monad is the motivating force of the being."
