Got back some photos that I had developed this week ~ I got a bit of a shock. I thought I was getting back pictures of the horses and such and instead, I see year old photos of Lilith and the little grey tom cat that got run over by a truck. They were probably the last ones I made of either of them.

I felt as if I were looking at ghosts ~ confusion; sadness and a little bit of joy at seeing them again.

I found the perfect thing for Momma's birthday ~ a miniature school desk to go with some of her dolls. It is the old fashioned style, with the black iron scroll work and all. I know she's not expecting that. I looked at the usual birthday barbies ~ but at $37.00 at the cheapest place I found, it isn't very affordable this time around.








reprieve

Yes! I've got a one week reprieve from the Artist's Way ~ thanks to the Olympics. This was supposed to be the start of week 4 and it's a doozy to begin with but Mame has added to it.

Originally, it was no reading all week. Then Mame added all media to it ~ no tv; no radio, no internet (ack!)...I failed miserably at the reading deprivation last time ~ how is it going to go this time?

Evidently I spoke too soon and 'fate' had other ideas in mind ~ I turned on the tv when I got back from Tech and all I can see is a very thin white line with some movement on it in the very center of the screen. If I want to see anything on tv, I guess I have to watch downstairs for a while. It doesn't quite work to listen to the Olympics, you know...

Well, I guess that's it for tonight ~ I have to go bring Kitt in. It's gone from a muggy 70 last night to upper 40's tonight. I've already had to bring in 26 pots of cacti inside and put an extra box out for the kittens to sleep in. It's a good night for sleeping.
