Reading Deprivation week has begun. On the first day, I was tested. I mean really tested ~ I had to take C.M. to work. In a library. Words lying in wait to catch my eye everywhere. I did fairly well ~ I think. I came up with 8 designs to carve into jack o' lanterns and two sketches for drawings based on the seasons (Summer and Autumn). I tried to sketch a person I saw in a dream ~ that didn't go so well, especially since that's not my forte anyway. I walked to Target, shopped and came back. I ate (btw ~ Charles makes an absolute killer potato salad. That alone almost makes him marriage material ~ not for me, of course. ;-D) After that was all said and done ~ C.M. wasn't ready to leave yet. I had run out of stuff to do ~ I couldn't even think of more stuff to draw. (I did try drawing a dragon but I need to work on that...) so...I ended up playing with the virtual dog and Pogo's Video Poker.
Today was only the second day and I've really blown it. I did well until I went to get the mail ~ and there was a magazine with an interesting cover article. I was the community calendar, the cover article and a sidebar down when I realized what I was doing. Ugh! I'm terrible at this!
I've already decided that I am going to begin this week's check-in with "Hello. My name is Dawn and I am a wordaholic."
