Hmmm...only been 6 days here since the last entry. Gee, it feels like a lot longer!

All the Yule cards that were being mailed out are on their way! Let's see...there's one going to Sweden; Canada, the Far East, the Pacific basin, the Meditterranean basin and Europe or SW Asia. Wow...

I caused quite a bit of confusion at the post office with my cards going to the military ~ every time the lady tried the zip code in the computer, it would come up 'see postal bulletin.' They looked high and low for that bulletin, only to have it turn out to be a glitch in the computer system. After it was all said and done, the cards only cost me 33 cents apiece to send.

Whoo hoo!!! Snow's on it's way!!!! 1 - 3 inches by tomorrow!! Yes!!! I may finally have my chance to make my snowpeople and snowcritters!!! Whoo - hooo!!! I can borrow a few ideas from my favorite snowman builder ~ Calvin!!! Hehehehe ~ maybe I should make my own 'Snowman House of Horrors'...I opened up the door a little while ago and I'm sure that if anyone heard me, it would surely cement my status as the local 'eccentric'. I have to admit, I did sound a bit maniacal when I saw those snowflakes in the air.

If he'd only kept going...

Did I miss something?

When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do at this time of year was watch the Grinch raid Whoville. I loved to watch him slink around the house of Little Suzie Who like the snake that he was. He wasn't even that particularly scary, he reminded me more of certain family members who shall remain nameless at this point in time...lest I accidentally insult the Grinch... ;-D

Anyway...the point of all this is this: I got a salespaper in the mail the other day. It was loaded with all kinds of stupid 'Wholiday' crap. There are also all these pictures of a grinning Grinch selling everything from candy to those fiber optic angel tree toppers.

It isn't even the grouchy, grumbly Grinch that I grew up with. This Grinch looks like his mafia brother ~ or maybe nephew. This Grinch, even with a smile on its face, manages to strike me as looking more than a little malevolent.

I can imagine legions of kids having nightmares for years to come. Perhaps when the Grinch got to the top of that hill and nearly lost his sled full of loot, he should have kept going.
