Wow...you'd think it were spring already ~ 74 degrees and winds out of the south. It made for great driving as I went to pay the phone bill.

I got lucky. Usually, there are 3 million police between here and Lafayette but I only saw one sheriff's patrol on the way back. I can't help it ~ I'm a bit of a speed freak.

Next, I need to wash mo mhuirin (pronounce it 'ma vorneen' ~ it's irish gaelic for 'my darling'). That is, my truck. I can't wait!

Ye gods, you'd think I was a man hiding in this female body...oh well, I love my truck!

I saw a neat thing the other night. The International Space Station flew over. I belive it's visible for the next few nights for about a minute or two. I found flyby times at the Heavens Above website.

Oh yeah ~ one note to myself: be sure to check out that new junk shop called 'Church Street Treasures'. Maybe I'll get lucky again and they won't know what they have and I'll find a steal of a deal...

DISCOMBOBULATED THOUGHTS

It's a full moon outside tonight ~ there was a ghost of a halo around it. Last night, the halo was huge and bright. I bet it took up 1/4 of the sky.

I finally have local internet access and don't have to call long distance to Nashville all the time. I kept my Netzero access, just in case ~ plus I don't want to go through the pain and hassle of switching everything over to a new e-mail addy yet again. I swear, if I believed in it, I'd think that it was almost sinful to be able to surf without really having to keep such a close eye on the time and how much I have left for the month.

It's happened. I got to thinking again. (EEK!) I've decided that I want a climbing rose and I want it to accent the flowers I'm going to put in the front yard. I can see it in my mind, climbing up, up, up a tall pole and spreading out in the air over the yard with its white blooms going everywhere. I started working on the place I want it in today but it is a mess ~ honeysuckle is everywhere. I discovered that underneath this mound of honeysuckle is the remains of an absolutely huge rose bush...evidently, the honeysuckle chocked it out. It just made me even more determined to get rid of the stuff.

I also bought some cheap craft wire today so I can practice doing spirals and cages before I buy the good silver wire. Cages don't seem to be that tough to do ~ it just takes practice to get them right. Spirals are even simpler. I think I will buy several large stone beads when I finally get to the Bead Hut and make pendants out of them, using spirals as a base. Next, I want to learn to wrap those donuts I have. I thought I would never have any use at all for donuts but now, I see endless possibilities...

Well, I think that will be it for tonight. Maybe the next entry will be a little more cohesive...I just needed to ramble with no structure to it tonight.
