The mood at the moment is: The current mood of dfirewolf@netzero.net at

I've had a strange thought lately ~ I want another bird. A little parakeet would be just peachy keen. I had 3 when I was a young and stupid kid. I didn't know that you weren't supposed to put them together in the same cage and a little yellow barbarian named Sundance killed the other two.

I rather miss having birdsong in the house. I think I will retrieve the cages (well, maybe one...to begin with) from my mom's house and look into doing just that.

IT WAS A DAY

I don't really have much to say today ~ it was that kind of day. I'm working on the composition for a new drawing ~ it's of one of the kittens sitting in a small bowl out on the porch. The perspective is a bit tricky. It'll work out eventually.

Well ~ Napster's about to be history. What's next? Kinko's and Wally World for selling blank tapes and burnable CDs? I still think that whole situation reminds me of the time Garth Brooks decided that he was going after the used CD stores.

I almost bought Ms. Winfrey's book about making connections and such. Whenever I hear about it, I don't think fitness and diet but rather building radios and assorted electronics. In the end, I didn't get it even though it was only $3.00. I figured why should I listen to what she says since she couldn't even follow her own advice for more than a few months? Even though I can't stand the way she yelled all the time, I have a little more respect for Susan Powter for actually walking her talk. (What happened to her anyway? Last I heard, she had confessed to being an alcoholic and had been successfully sober for a while. Hey, everybody has their particular tree trunk to bear, I suppose.)

I decided that one thing I will absolutely, positively not live without is chocolate. Hershey's semi-sweet baking chocolate, to be exact. It's the only thing that really hits the spot. It comes in 8 one ounce blocks but it says that a serving size is 1/2 block. Who the hell only eats 1/2 once of chocolate ~ and is satisfied with it???!!!
