Spent a good deal of the day painting...and the other part, not much at all. Still working on the 'possum, as well as a painting that I began back in October. I guess it finally decided to cooperate with me. I'm still getting all the materials together for the tiger piece ~ I think it'll be in pencil.
Hmmm. Yesterday, I said something about writing what's my 'flavor'. Well, well, well, well. (Am I beating around the bush enough yet?) Perhaps I'm beating around the bush because of who may potentially read this? Probably ~ I say that we slaughter that personal sacred cow right now.
What 'flavor' that gets my attention depends on what mood I'm in. Isn't that incredibly shallow? LOL
Truth is, things such as gender don't enter into the equation very much ~ usually. Male. Female. Packaging ~ that's all. Personality and its particular quirks are what get my attention. Cyndi Lauper used to absolutely fascinate me ~ I haven't seen her much lately except for a few seconds during the Superbowl, so I can't really say if she still does. Tonight, while I was watching Jay Leno (no, he isn't on the list), Kevin Spacey got my attention. I didn't realize what a loon he can be ~ and I've got to see American Beauty. If I could bottle whatever it is that James Spader has that gets to me, I'd be a multi ~ billionaire.
One thing that these people have in common is that they're artists in their own way. Music. Acting. Creativity. Kevin Spacey has a certain magnetism about him. James Spader is....James Spader.
The Perfect Person would be a combination of (in no particular order):
- Jeff Goldblum's intellect; humbleness...and let's face it, he can play 'bad' to the hilt (watch Mr. Frost and see if I'm lying.)
- I started to say Lucy Lawless' strength and wit ~ but actually, it's more of Xena's strength and wit...LOL
- James Spader (you really didn't think I'd leave him out, did you?)
- a looney sense of humor
- Creativity ~ the more the better, especially in music; art and even acting.
- the ability to function without being attached at the hip
- an appreciation of silences
- a wood sprite ~ feeling completely at home in the deep woods.
- willing to see the truth and validity in all faiths
- the ability to work outside of dogma (or catma, for that matter)
Well, that's a good start to the list. I think I'll stop there and see if I can get some sleep...provided that I can convince Kitt to come back in.
