Well, I've had one so - so accomplishment. I've replaced the front porch light ~ not just the bulb, the whole thing. It was getting to be funny because the most difficult part turned out to actually be the easy part. What proved to be difficult was attaching the thing to the wall. I don't know how in the world it was originally done but it must have been a miracle or something. I could not get those holes lined up where both of the screws would go in unhindered, mainly because the wiring box seems to be just this much too narrow (,). Yep, the width of that comma is about it.
It was finally announced that the Governor is accepting submissions for the design of the new Tennessee quarter due to come out in 2002. Whoo - hoo! Now then...let's see what all I can come up with to submit by June 1.
I've come up a bit dry on some ideas. The US Mint suggested ideas of well - known historical interest or state icons. Watch someone submit something about Elvis and I hope to the gods they don't choose it! lol I thought of doing something with Andrew Jackson but I just can't bring myself to do it. There are still people of Indian heritage that you don't even begin to think of mentioning his name to...and I'm not entirely sure I'm not one of them. lol
I've thought about doing something with the irises, raccoons and the State Capitol building but I bet everyone and their brother will do that. I'm definitely going to do a walking horse, simply because.
Here we go: I could draw a raccoon, with an iris in its mouth, climbing the Capitol building...
Hehehehe! Let's just get cheeky here...here we go: a raccoon, with an iris in its mouth, standing in front of the Capitol building while doing an Elvis impersonation.
Uh huh.
