To briefly play catch up:
I went to see Monty Roberts and it was phenomenal! I plan to institute his techniques as soon as possible. On a bad note though - we have a dog problem now. The same dogs that killed Lilith have now killed Banapis, as well as Lilith and Boo's kittens. Eleven cats lost in one fell swoop. They went right from that to trying to kill the neighbor's cow, which is no mean feat considering that this cow is full grown; in perfect health and has horns over a foot long each - which she knows how to use. One of the most disturbing things about this situation is the methodical manner in which the dogs operate: in the case of the heifer, they would distract her in order to attempt running behind and hamstringing her. Another thing is the fact that there was planty of available food for the dogs to eat - and they passed up every bit of it.
So now the neighborhood is on watch. I feel kind of like a commando - we've got this little war against these killer dogs and G., who owns the horses and cattle next door, let me borrow a .22 rifle in case the dogs come back. She even said that if I couldn't bring myself to shoot them, all I had to do is call her.
No chance of that.
Even the animal control folks told me this: I had two options. 1. (the 'official' option) they could bring out some live traps and they would take the dogs to the shelter (assuming that they would go for the bait, which I'm pretty sure they wouldn't considering that it would be canned food.) or the 'unofficial' option of taking care of the problem myself - which is my right since I have proof that the dogs have killed my cats. I'm not really looking forward to having to shoot these dogs. It has to be done - but I know how I'll feel about it afterward, regardless of the nasty things that they've done.
I'll feel guilty as hell.
In the 'Strange Events' or, a 'Normal Occurance in My Life' category:
I didn't quite what to think about this whole contrail (or chemtrail, whichever you prefer) thing until recently - when I had my own little 'experience'. It seems a bit tame in comparision to some I've heard about, especially E.'s, but here it is:
On the afternoon of Sunday, May 2, C.M. and I were mowing the yard when I looked up and thought that 1.) it was supposed to be clear that day and 2.) some of the clouds looked strange, i.e., there were quite a few contrails in the sky. Four were fairly parallel to each other; one was off in the distance and there were two X's. None of these were in the regular flight corridors, except the one that was in the distance so I tend to discount that one. None of these dissapated in the regular fashion - the sky soon became filled with masses of clouds. I then went inside the house.
On Thursday, May 6, I was again outside working in the yard. I heard a jet engine which sounded much louder than usual. I searched for the source of the sound for a few seconds and figured that I had somehow missed the plane and I was just hearing the sound 'catching up' when a jet (it appeared reddish orange due to the fact that the light from the setting sun shone quite brightly on it.) appeared out of the south, flying extremely low (I estimate somewhere around 10,000 ft.) in none of the usual flight corridors. As it got overhead, it began to bank to the west eventually turning 180O, climbing higher as it did. It went back in the direction from which it came.
Upon checking the clock in my truck, it said the time was 7:34 and the compass indicated that the direction the jet came from was south. The sky was clear and the jet did nothing more than fly over that I could see.
Is that bizarre or what?
