Well, today certainly has been interesting. On the way home this morning (read: somewhere between 4 and 5 a.m.), I saw the albino doe. I haven't seen her in nearly two years and I was afraid that she had become a trophy for some hunter's wall. I was very happy to see her!
I also went into Westmoreland today to get some wire for sculpture - that was strange. It was like stepping 20 years into the past. Now I understand why I don't go there much anymore - I just don't belong there. They did have a cute little fancy hamster there - we made eyes at each other for a few minutes before I decided that I'd better leave before I bought him. I could just see that scenario...Kitt and a hamster. Oh yeah - that would work. (In case it's not coming through let me pile some more sarcasm on that for ya...)
I also wondered why no one was calling me today - the phone is out again due to the rain. I'm just going to have to march in there tomorrow and tell them to get it right this time. They'll probably try to tell me (in that tone) that they'll have to send someone out to look at it - as if that's a bad thing. You know, I really think that another phone company needs to move in here and just start taking their business - this little home-grown monopoly just ain't gettin' it.
One sad note though:
R. passed over this morning. It was his third bout with cancer. It looks like I won't be going to the funeral though - that much was made fairly clear. It quite rightly pissed me off. I don't even have words for it at the moment.
I did go out earlier and burned some sage for him though. I don't have any tobacco so it was the 'next best' thing. I also played a couple of games of Solitaire in his honor. It seemed appropriate, since that was one of his 'major' pastimes...lol.
I really don't have much more to say right now - so I'll stop. Goodnight.
