Ugh ~ I had a truly annoying dream. I am in this house that was reputed to be haunted. Kitt and I are in a bedroom where a little girl's ghost is said to be. I have half a grapefruit, which I offer to the little girl. I can't see her so I don't know if she's even in the room or not. Nothing happens. Kitt and I stay a while and I offer the grapefruit half again ~ this time, the fruit lifts from my chair and floats to a chair that is said to be hers. I am so excited that I run out of the room to tell someone about it.

The annoying part comes when the dream changes. Kitt and I are in our own bed and a very hard wind begins, causing the sheet to 'tent'. Suddenly, the wind stops but now there is a presence directly behind me ~ uncomfortable close, almost 'spooning' me. I decide that this 'ghost' has gone entirely too far and try to make it stop. I even try to employ magick but nothing happens. Only when I get out of bed does it stop. I decide to go back to bed and there is the presence again, just as close. Finally, I wake up out of annoyance.

I realized what was happening when I woke up ~ I was having an OBE! Albert Taylor writes about the over friendly presence in his book, Soul Traveler: he too found himself with a presence that was uncomfortable close. Turns out, the presence was his own body! He only floated out enough to be directly above it.
