No big dissertations tonight but here is last night's dream .
Someone sent this joke the other day:
The kindergarners were now in first grade. Their teacher wanted them to
be more grown up since they were no longer in kindergarten. She told them to use grown up words instead of baby words. She then
asked them to tell her what they did during the summer.
The first little one said he went to see his Nana. The teacher said, "No, no, you went to see your Grandmother. Use the grown up word."
The next little one said she went for a trip on a choo-choo. The teacher again said, "No, no, you went on a trip on a train. That's the grown up word."
Then the teacher asked the third little one what he did during the
summer.
He proudly stated that he read a book. The teacher asked what book he
had read. He puffed out his chest and in a very adult way replied,
"Winnie the Sh*t."
I almost wrecked the car the other night. That joke was funny when I first read it but about 20 minutes later, when I was driving up the interstate, it just hit me - I got a serious case of the giggles! I laughed almost all the way home.
I got the giggles again tonight when we came back from grocery shopping. Two of the kittens were accidentally locked in the house and they looked out the front door window like they would never be able to know freedom again. I don't know what all they did while we were gone but everything that was on the bottom half of the window were thrown on the floor, as well as the pager and some things that were sitting by the door on a bar stool...you almost couldn't see the carpet for all the stuff. By the looks of it all, one is named rather appropriately - Monkey.
I'm only 80 pages through the current incarnation of the offline journal but I went ahead and got the next one tonight. I decided that since I stuff so many extra pages into it, I would go with a spiral this time instead of the wonderful 5.99 hardbound ones from Waldens. As it is, I'm only half way through the hardbound and it is nearly ready to burst its seams. Also, with the spirals, I can also use the entire page instead of losing nearly a 1/4" because of the binding. All in all - a good decision.
Thank you, Great Mystery, for the wonderful day!
