August 17, 1998
Work on the brainstorming portion of the poster work continues. Lisa asked me to bring some samples of the fonts I have on the computer (I'm only taking a few - I don't want to burden the poor car with that much paper...lol) - I never even thought to use the computer to print out the headings and such for those posters. I spent most of yesterday and last night (until 3 this morning) drawing them by hand. Sheesh...the things I do.
Night before last, the yearly good; big, purging cry finally came on. It's nearly the end of August again. I wonder where Magic is? I miss him - especially this time of year. I did write about it - if you really enjoy sad, sob, miserable stories, here it is.
Speaking of sad, sob and miserable stories - C.M. and I went out tonight to see a movie. (Black Dog is a pretty good movie...but I kept thinking of Patrick Swayze when he was in 'To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar' and how his mouth didn't seem to quite fit the rest of his face in this movie - it seemed so small compared to his cheeks and forehead...perhaps that's just the result of the To Wong Foo line of thinking...)
Anyway. Back to the story.
I could tell that things are really bothering him - some of those things directly concerning us. He made a few references that were pretty hard to miss the point of but he won't come out and say anything directly. At one point while we were eating, I nearly broke down right then and there because of the seeming futility of this whole charade. I really don't know what to do. Being calm and rational didn't do anything. Being angry didn't do anything. Just being didn't do anything. Damn - how did this relationship get so screwed up?
I think that since it's 2 a.m. and I have class tomorrow, I will end this entry. Thank you, Great Mystery, for this day on the Path. Goodnight, Sweetie; Goodnight, Cynthia; Goodnight, Trixie's Black Magic; Goodnight world ('Night John-boy!).
On to the next entry
