December 7, 1998

Today is a blue day - I just don't feel like going anywhere and facing anyone. I have class though, so I guess I'll have buck up.

I don't have the words to describe this mood, other than I just don't want to be seen - and if I could, I would probably take off for parts unknown. Run away. Start over. Live as I want to live. Then again, perhaps I know exactly what is going on with my mood today. I'm tired of my life. I need change.

I need someone to recognize that I'm as brilliant and wonderful as I know I am. hehe!

Yesterday, Momma and I did the Christmas tour of the historic houses of Gallatin. Cragfont (interesting story there), Wynnewood, Trousdale Place and Rose Mont. It was alright. It was pretty warm - I think the temperature was 75 - and it was hard to believe that it is December.

My favorite place on the tour is still the first on the tour - Cragfont. This year, I got a little extra in my visit. I'll be the first to admit that I was tired and wasn't in any way prepared. Later, I kicked myself for it. We were standing the hallway where the big staircase is when I sensed a presence. It wasn't actually 'in' the room but seemed to be a bit of a 'distance' away. That is the only way I can explain it. It was in the house, but it seemed to be above me - not upstairs, just 'up'. There was also a distinct feeling that the presence's main thought was 'Go Away!!' I couldn't out of that room fast enough. After I kicked myself for getting spooked by something far less scary than some of the things I've seen in my life and later went back into the room, Momma said that she felt a 'tingle' run up her left leg and then a nudge in her left side - about at kidney level. At the time it happened, I was standing about two feet away from her and no one else was near us. Ah...welcome to my life.
