Quote of the day: "Work by a male writer is often spoken of by critics admiring it as having 'balls;' ever hear anyone speak admiringly of work by a woman as having 'tits'?" ~ Margaret Atwood
Today is Connor Trinneer's birthday.
The universe is a crazy place sometimes. Of course, it doesn't help when a spell goes off on a tangent because of the wording you used or you didn't hold your tongue in just the right way. Perhaps an unknown comet drifted by and the spell pinged off that. Hell, a deer could have farted as far as I know and caused the universe to move a fraction of a millimeter. Who knows why spells act the way they do sometimes, despite the current definition of a spell being 'will put into action'? I have to wonder ~ just exactly who's will are we talking about when the results of a spell seem as if they could have been sent by Dream's little sister, Delirium?
Case in point: a few weeks ago, I cast a simple little candle spell. I don't remember the exact wording but it was something on the order of 'bring more love into my life.' (Hey, I never said that this was one of my more brilliant spells.) I promptly went on to forget about the whole thing.
Weeeelllll....I finally found that Cure c.d. I'd been wanting which had the song 'Friday I'm in Love.' We started reading love poetry in English Comp. I started hearing random songs while out shopping ~ including one last Sunday night that took me off guard for a moment because it said, "I'm the sunlight in your hair, the shadows (missed those words), I'm your invisible friend..." and went on to sound like, of all things, an answer to my entry on March eighth. Yesterday was a kicker: the latest assignment in English Comp is to write a four page, double spaced paper...defining love. The first draft is due tomorrow.
