A Dream ~

I am at a farm, not too far away from my home. The farm sits atop of a small hill, and there is lots of greenery about. I find a small, dark building next to the house that is filled with horses ~ chestnut; bay, black, sorrel. They seem to be all ages as well ~ stallions, mares and foals. I am instantly sad because the man who owns this farms only wants the horses for something they produce (I can't remember exactly what) for one season and he destroys them at the end for their meat. I open the door on the small building and go in, waving my arms and yelling to urge the horses out ~ they escape in a huge, thundering surge down the hill and they are out of sight. I walk back outside the building to stand next to a bucket of cherry tomatoes. I am so sad and upset that when I pick one up, I cannot eat it. It goes back into the bucket.

After only a few minutes, the horses begin coming back up the hill. This time, they are wearing human form. I am frantic to see this. I ask the first ones that approach, "Why are you coming back?" to which a mare replies, "There is nowhere for us to go." All the human horses calmly walk back into their dark building as the owner of the farm walks out of his house. He is angry that I tried this and in spite, he raises his hand. He is holding a detonation device ~ a large, black box with a silver antenna on top and a red button in the middle. As he pushes the button, the building fills with thick, black smoke. I don't know if any of the horses made it out the back ~ none came through the front.
