A Very SLOW Day

Quote of the day: "Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of the desert and leave you for dead?"
~ Clark Griswold, Christmas Vacation

Well.

Today certainly didn't go as planned. I still haven't gotten to school to turn in the fin. aid and verfication paperwork. I got all cleaned up and out the door to find...a flat tire and an air compressor that's gone on strike. On the up side, though ~ I've gotten quite a bit in on the cemetary painting. It looks nothing like I saw it in my head but it's still pretty neat.

It's a slow day today. Not much more happened than the kitten Rochefort (Rochey (row*shee) for short) catching Mishey the cat offguard and knocking her head over tail. I listened to the filmmaker commentary on American Beauty (neat stuff there ~ it's always interesting to hear about someone's creative process and how a particular project develops) while I painted. I just wanted to get an entry in...oh yeah, I did sign up for some nice, ego deflating fun. I joined the clix program at Diarist.net that keeps track of journal readership.

Well, I think that's it for now. I'm going to turn in and try again tomorrow. I know tomorrow's entry will have at least a smidge more substance than todays ~ my dad is coming over to take me out for a birthday supper. Whoo hoo! Free food!!
